Darling Jim by Christian Moerk

This was a fascinating book to read. It includes a fairy tale, two diaries, a wolf that isn't canine, and an aunt who lost her mind.

It begins with the death of a woman and her two nieces. She was starving them and poisoning them, and one finally found a weapon to use against her. No one knows how such an atrocious thing could happen.

But, one day, a postal clerk finds an envelope in the dead letter bin that contained a diary written by Fiona, the older of the nieces.

The story that unfolds shows that lust created jealousy, and how they begin to suspicion that Jim, who first woos a sister and then the aunt, may well be the monster who is raping and murdering other women in the local area.

How he behaves, how they respond, what people see and don't see in the small village, and how it all sorts out is amazing.

You'll pick up and begin reading and just keep going. You want to know what's going to happen next. And you'll be amazed by what does!

If you'd like my advance readers copy of this book, leave a comment here and then send me an email at info@bookfaerie.com to tell me why. I'll choose a lucky winner in about a week.

This book sounds like one that I would enjoy reading -- it has all the elements, that I enjoy! A good story line, a little bit of mystery, and a bit of "could this be true" theme.
Thanks for such great reviews!
