Edwin Speaks Up by April Stevens and Sophie Blackall

Poor Edwin.  He keeps trying to talk to his family and nobody listens to him...

Schwartz and Wade sent me a copy of this picture book for review (thank you).  It's been published so you can buy a copy at your local bookstore now.

Ms. Blackwell creates the cutest little character you can imagine as Edwin.  He's travelling about with the family trying to get their attention, all to no avail.

Ms. Stevens creates really cute baby talk that if you "listen" (read) closely, you can actually figure out what Edwin is saying.  However, you do have to listen.

All in all, it's a silly trip to the store with a flighty family that will make young ones laugh.  I really enjoyed reading this book.  Why not share it with your small one?

Happy reading.
