The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa

He lost his sister to the land of fae years ago, but he's still angry about it...

Net Galley and Harlequin allowed me to download an ebook of this story for review (thank you).  It will be published October 30th, so watch for it.

I had previously read Ms. Kagawa's stories about Meghan and her adventures in faerieland, so I knew I wanted to read this book featuring her brother.  I wasn't disappointed.

Ethan has been pestered by the fae all of his life.  Ever since he got lost in the woods and Meghan rescued him, he can see them.  He works very hard at not acknowledging them, but they have caused him enough trouble he's running out of schools he can transfer to.  When he makes the mistake of defending a small boy from the local jock, not only does the boy realize he can tell what is, he now has a deadly enemy.

Someone is killing half-breeds:  half human and half faerie.  No one seems to realize it except Ethan and a couple of faeries.  He needs to get to his sister to tell her about the danger.  However, that means he must enter the land of fae again, and he really doesn't want to do that!

This is very exciting adventure with evil lurking in every corner and a coming of age adventure for Ethan.  I enjoyed it the fast pace and the interesting tale this author has created.  Her worlds are unique and so are her tales.

If you haven't read the original books, you can just start here and go forward.  If the fantasy described appeals to you, you might want to begin with the first few books of the Iron Fey series.  They are all good reads.

Happy reading.
