Is That Your Mother-In-Law Under the Bed by Barbara Oliver Fletcher

This is a delightful book to read.  It reminds me a bit of a cosy mystery.  Some of it is a bit unrealistic, but it's an overall fun read and I enjoyed it.

The author sent me a copy of her book for review (thank you).  The book is available on Amazon, B & N, and from the author herself.

Edna and Edith are sisters.  Way back when, they worked as secretaries and assistants to two men in the private detective industry.  Then they married them.  They are now widowed and bored with daytime TV.  So when Ellen (Edna's daughter) tells them she thinks her husband Roger is having an affair, they decide to jump into action.  They dig out their old equipment and go on the hunt.  Stake outs aren't much fun, but they take plenty of food and recorded TV programs to keep them entertained.

It doesn't take them long to find they need new equipment.  And they aren't quite as cautious as they should be about spying, which is why one of them ends up under the bed.

What they find out is breath-taking and murderous, but they gained their knowledge illegally.  Will the cops stop the killers soon enough?

I had fun reading this.  Their antics are silly and yet have the ring of truth.  Women in their late 50's aren't usually private detectives; that made this story like a breath of fresh air.  Why not get a copy and see what you think?

Happy reading.
