Swept Up by the Sea by Tracy & Laura Hickman

Are you ready for some fun?  This is rollicking romp on the sea with a young unseasoned man trying to be a pirate and two women determined to marry him.  It'll make you laugh.

Shadow Mountain Publishing and Net Galley allowed me to download an ebook of this story for review (thank you).  It was published July 2nd, so you can grab a copy now.

I really enjoyed this story.  It's a bit tongue-in-cheek, a bit parody and all good fun.  I read it several days ago and when I think about it again, it still makes me smile.

Percival has come to Blackshore determined to be a pirate.  Unfortunately, all that happens is that he gets thrown off the ships because he has no sea knowledge or experience.  Things get more interesting for him when he meets Tuppance, a gentile young lady who reads romance novels.  She just knows he's her romantic hero that stars in her books, and she wants him.  However, there's his fiance he left behind and she comes after him.  It gets even more interesting when they both show up on the ship that Percival is attempting to play captain on.  How many captains do you know that get seasickness?

There are lots more characters and side stories going on, too.  You won't be bored.  There's even a ghost ship!  I thought there was so much going on that the authors wouldn't be able to tie up all those loose ends, but they did.  It's a very enjoyable, satisfying read.  Why not get a copy and check it out for yourself?

Happy reading.
