The Apollo Academy (The Apollo Academy #1) by Kimberly P. Chase

All Aurora wants is to be an astronaut that will be able to escape to the stars.  She's an heiress and has no privacy.  Anything she does, paparazzi are around.  Getting into the Apollo Academy is the first step in her training as an astronaut and she's determined to succeed.  Now if someone would just quit trying to kill her...

The author sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you).  It is on sale now, so check with your local bookstore for a copy.

Aurora gets more dirty looks than friendship at the school.  The students believe she's bought her way in and that she's getting an unfair advantage on grades.  The teacher at school doesn't help when she says she's getting the highest grades.  That even makes her roommate turn away from her.

The other conflict Aurora has is men.  She has her eye on a young man who is taking the same course she is.  He has a secret he hasn't shared with her yet.  Her instructor is wicked and sets her up for failure here and there.  He's attractive, though.  And when she finds out the culprit was not the instructor, her view of him changes.

Someone wants her to fail.  They want her to fail grandly and die in the accident.  She can't tell her father; he'd take her out of the school.  She wants to complete what she has started.  With the male friends she has, it may be possible, but you never know.

This is the first in a new series written for young adults and it's very well done.  The author keeps the romance sweet, the action hot, and the suspense high through out the story.  There's more investigation to be done and there's a lot more to the story.  The competing romances will become an issue, too.  I'm looking forward to reading the next in this series.
