Have you ever wanted something so badly you had to imagine it to get it? That's what Harry has to do.
Schwartz & Wade sent me a galley of this book to read for review (thank you). It has been published so check at your local bookstore for a copy.
The illustrations in this book make the story come alive. Having a big fluffy blue dog as a companion would make me happy!
Harry's Dad gives him a lizard as a pet because it doesn't bother his allergies. Harry can only look at it and think it's not a very good dog. He gives it to a neighbor girl who loves it. Then Harry creates his own imaginary dog. He has great fun with him, even if other people can't see him.
When Harry's Dad gets fired from the pepper and finds a new job, he finds out his allergies aren't as bad anymore. So he brings Harry home a dog, a real dog.
I like Harry's solution to this problem and I bet you will, too. If you have little one with an imagination, here's a fun read that will make them smile.
Happy reading.
