Where's Mommy by Beverly Donofrio & Barbara McClintock

This is a cute picturebook with a little girl who has a secret.  She has a mouse friend, but she can't tell anyone about it.  If her family knew, they'd get a cat.  She does want anything to happen to her friend!

Schwartz & Wade sent me a galley of this book for review (thank you).  It will be published March 11th, so check with your local bookstore for a copy.

One night, neither Maria's mommy or Mouse Mouse's mommy were around to tuck them in and read them a good night story.  Both children go looking.  No one else in the family seems to care, not even their fathers.  They search and search.  They also happen to run into each other outside.    They are both going to search the storage shed.

You see, Maria's mommy was once a child, too.  And it seems she had a mouse friend, too...

It's a very sweet story with great illustrations by Barbara McClintock.  Why not share this picturebook with the little ones in your life?

Happy reading.
