I've Still Got It by Jenna McCarthy

The subtitle of this book is:  ...I Just Can't Remember Where I Put It.  As you get older, you'll understand this statement.

The Berkley Publishing Group sent me a copy of this to read for review (thank you).  It has been published, so check with your local bookstore for a copy.

This author writes about life very honestly.  She discussed in intimate detail some things that most people would prefer to forget about or ignore.  She throws some cuss words in here and there and she talks about her marriage.  She also talks about her body and how it has become a traitor now that she is growing older.  Since I am almost twenty years older than she is, I know what she's talking about is true.  Just deal with it a day at a time and you'll live through it...

Here's a straightforward look at life as you age.  You might weigh the same but it's in different places now.  What was a pristine secret before you married is now something your husband knows as well as you.  You lose some of your vim and vigor.  You can't do what you did before in some cases.  Ms. McCarthy covers all of this and talks about how she dealt with it, and the options that are there.

You can consider this book a warning of things to come or you can just read it because it's funny and will make you laugh.  No matter which side of forty you're on, it's a fun read.
