This is an anthology of classic crime stories. All were written long ago, some have never been published and I didn't recognize most of the authors. Agatha Christie caught my eye. I enjoy short stories, so I dug into this one with anticipation.
Poisoned Pen Press and Edelweiss gave me the opportunity to read this book for review (thank you). it will be published August 1st.
The stories range from a headless body in the backyard to a man washed up from the sea. When a man dies and no one cares, it's unusual. Mr. Fortune even makes an appearance and I find him amusing.
The stories are varied, none of them use modern techniques but they determine the murderers. In the days depicted, they had to use their little grey cells like Mr. Poirot said.
I found myself consuming the stories and enjoying the majority of them. If you like tastes of crime from the other side of pond, you'll enjoy this book. Give it a try!
