I liked the flavor of these Latin American tales. The characters are colorful, the women are strong, and there's a bit of magic thrown in, too. It's bad enough one married a mouse, one is even brave enough to kill a seven-headed dragon!
TOON Graphics and Edelweiss allowed me to read this book for review (thank you). It will be published today.
I really liked the bright graphics and how the stories turned out. They could have been tragic but they are not. Each story was well worth a read and are suitable for young ones. There is a pleasant rhythm to the words and some words are repeated with a bit more added to the story on each page.
This one is a little treasure that would be a nice addition to child's graphic novel collection.
